前天，站长收到谷歌公司发来的邮件告知告知用户Wave服务将于2012年4月30日关闭，提醒用户尽早将重要数据从Wave账户中导出。邮件表示，谷歌Wave将于2012年4月30日关闭，用户可在关闭前继续使用现有的导出功能将Wave账号中原有的重要数据导出。

“如果你想继续使用Wave，也有一些开源项目，包括Apache Wave。除此之外，还有一个名为‘Walkaround’的开源项目，其中包括一个实验性的功能，可以帮助你从谷歌输入你在Wave账户中的所有数据， 此功能也将于2012年4月30日关闭。”

据了解，谷歌Wave服务向用户提供一种革命性的实时交流和协作编辑方式，类似Email、微型博客和即时通讯的混合体。早在一年多以前，谷歌就宣 布Wave服务不再作为一个独立产品进行开发，其后谷歌Wave仅以只读服务模式存在，用户无法创建新帖。2011年11月，谷歌告知Wave用户该服务 将于20124月30日彻底关闭。

Dear Wavers,

More than a year ago we announced that Google Wave would no longer be developed as a separate product. Back in November 2011, we shared the specific dates for ending this maintenance period and shutting down Wave. Google Wave is now in read-only mode. This is reminder that the Wave service will be turned off on April 30, 2012. You will be able to continue exporting individual waves using the existing PDF export feature until the Google Wave service is turned off. We encourage you to export any important data before April 30, 2012.

If you would like to continue using Wave, there are a number of open source projects, including Apache Wave. There is also an open source project called Walkaroundthat includes an experimental feature that lets you import all your Waves from Google. This feature will also work until the Wave service is turned off on April 30, 2012.
